Carson holds many honorary doctorate degrees from various institutions. He has written several books, most notably Gifted Hands, which was made into a movie. Carson was selected as a “living legend” by the Library of Congress and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2008.
Where Does Ben Carson Stand On The Issues?
Carson is very conservative on all of the major issues. He wants to see Roe v. Wade overturned. He believes in gay rights, although not gay marriage. He would like to see police equipped with body cameras. He is against the recreational use of marijuana, but says that it may be okay for medical purposes. He says that protecting the environment is a priority, although global warming is not relevant. He supports fewer government regulations for businesses, wants to privatize social security, and institute a flat tax of 10 to 15 percent. He is very pro-gun, calling for no limits on gun ownership.
